Vintage 18 Carat Gold & Interchangeable Gemstone Bead Ring
A striking circa 1960s Italian interchangeable gemstone ring in 18ct gold, presented in its original Flavio Ricci jewel box and accompanied by a delightful selection of cambiarello (interchangeable) semi-precious gemstone beads to suit your mood, wardrobe, or occasion.
Bold and architectural in profile, this vintage ring is designed to hold interchangeable 8mm gemstone beads which can be popped out from the front and swapped with ease. The set includes eight beads in total, six with their original Italian labels: lapislazzulo (lapis lazuli), quartzo ametista (amethyst), amazzonite (amazonite), corniola (carnelian/sard), adventurina (aventurine), and rhodonite, together with an additional tiger’s eye bead and a black bead. Also included are eight spare 8mm beads, offering even more versatility and endless styling possibilities.
What makes this design so charming is its adaptability: the interchangeable beads allow the ring to be effortlessly tailored to whatever you are wearing that day, whether you prefer rich earthy tones, soft pastel shades, or something more dramatic and striking. It is a wonderfully playful yet sophisticated jewel, and a fine example of mid-century Italian design.
The ring is stamped 750 for 18ct gold and is presented in a Flavio Ricci box, which opens from the centre outwards to the left and right, creating a handsome presentation case befitting the jewel within.
